time for another perfume thread?

I know there was a thread a while back but thought it would be nice to start another.

What perfume are you wearing and why?

What's your fave perfume or do you have several?

A friend has just given me a bottle of Hypnotic Poison which i love so much.  It's a real mood lifter

for me.

Men too -  do you wear perfumes/colognes?  If so ---   which ones?

Re: time for another perfume thread?

Many years ago my daughter was wearing the most gorgeous perfume that her boyfriend had bought back from overseas.  I asked what it was and could I try it.

It was Red Door and there was never any danger that I would ever "borrow" it again.  To say it smelt like dead flies on me is an understatement.

My current favourites are Anais Anais and YSL Paris, the original version.

Re: time for another perfume thread?

My 13th birthday was the day I was to be "femininized"..... 4711 perfume and an atomizer with the pump bulb (?) However,   "Bogan" was my apparel tag.

Real femininity didn't really start til much, much later.

English Fern (Bronley)

Tabu,

Lou Lou

Red Door

Passion

White Diamonds

Still adore Tabu and Lou Lou (not the colour of the bottle though).  But have too much of the others left over before purchasing more.

Even though Perfumes come in beautifully designed bottles (that sometimes cost more than the fluid within);  I heard. that the sensible way to store perfumes is in a cool, dark place .

Yes I've heard that too about the cool place deb, some store it in the fridge.

Good to hear you grew out of being a bogan lol

Trouble with the lou Lou bottle and those not glass you can't see how much you've used. I'd never buy a scent based on the

bottle though I know some who do, some of the bottles are gorgeous.

yes some of the bottles are gorgeous, I decided Loulou was attached to too many memories quite awhile ago, so gave it up. Woman Happy The last time i was in the perfume section at DJs there was a silver bottle (can't really call it a bottle) and it looked just like an adult toy........it was a little embarrassing because I was with a male friend and he pointed it out - anyone know what the perfume is?

Re: time for another perfume thread?

I wear Shalimar, just one spray every day.

I have worn it for years and my husband used to buy me a bottle for my birthday.

I have some Oscar de la Renta Natural but I find it a bit strong so I will give it away.

Similar apparel again this late in life, but the tag is a more mature "Country Working  Woman" .  Checked shirt  and denim;it's good gardening clothing.   I dare not tell of the current millinery style!!
