well the wardobe saga continues .... yes it was delivered tonite ...but in two pieces .... 😮

with 16 screws and little templates to attach to the back of both pieces so that it makes it sturdy .....

to say I am angry is an understatement .... never once in the time I purchased it or spoke to the guy at the store did he/they mention that it was in two pieces and I would have to connect it ..... grrrrrr what if I put it in the wrong place or split the wood whilst doing it .... X-(

so ringing them tomorrow and blowing their heads off !

of course I have to put it together tonite as I still have everything on my bed since saturday ....X-(

not the delivery guy ....he was really nice and independent to them .... I rang him ....they didnt....

yes I have decided to ring them in the morning and tell them I want someone to come to my house in the morning and finish the job they started .... I paid for a wardrobe ....not a chest of drawers and a cupboard !!!

so once again all my stuff is hanging everywhere and on the floor 😞 not happy !

totally unacceptable when I paid between $800 - 900 for it!

Hi everyone! Made it in a bit earlier today which is good as I may end up getting caught up in FB later with all the new farming now.

Peela, your poor tires but I worry more about the alignment! That will cost more to fix. Once she has her driving down pat, you might want to have the car re-aligned since it is safer if it can travel straight. I think it is great that you are teaching her to drive a manual...it is a lost ability here as most of the younger generation has never been in a car with a stick. We taught both our boys to drive stick (not that either are real proficient at it - but they can do it).

Peela, that is shameful that your wardrobe wasn't assembled completely! I hope they get someone out there, as they should, to complete the job.

Mim, enjoy your beautiful day. We are having a cloudy, gray day but it is warm. Can't have sun all the time, right? We have it most of the time here so I don't complain about the occasional gray day.

Ilse, well today started off good and then I had breakfast. It's gone downhill from there. Just taking it easy today.

well update on the wardrobe situation:

rang them first thing this morn .... told them I paid for a wardrobe not a two piece ensemble and I wanted it completed .... guy said ok sometime this week ....
I said I DONT THINK SO .... I want the carpenter out at my place at 10.30am this morning to fix it ! ..... he said I cant do that .... told him I paid good money for a completed wardrobe and it had to be done .... he rang me back 5mins later .... with 'the carpenter will be there around 10.30am'

10.30am ...up they turned with a screwdriver in his hand.... told him he would need a drill ...he said nope this will do ...
40mins later with both of them doing it ...it was finally together !! ..and they expected me to do it by myself ???

so all together now and I have some things inside ....and its beautiful ....but geez what a trial !!!

so it pays to complain .... and of course to use THE VOICE B-)



ilse .... hopefully she will manage to keep off the kerb next time .... LOL
