I will start it off, can you name this song and the band.

"And I've been working like a dog."

Hi Spotweldersfriend, hi gang. ๐Ÿ™‚

Number 2 is the theme from the Bugs Bunny show, which probably doesn't count as a real answer since I don't know the name of the song or who performed it.

Hi crosby.Well done.I'm sure margo will work out the other 2.I suppose the Bugs theme must have been sung by Mel Blanc who did all the voices of the cartoon characters.
The last set of lyrics are Ruth,Roses and Revolvers by Stephen Coates aka The Real Tuesday Weld from the album The London Book Of The Dead.Probably shouldn't have put that one up.

Know this one spot one of my favourites.

:"You said you were leaving tomorrow
That today was our last day
I said there'd be no sorrow, that I'd laugh when you walked away

Little bitty tear let me down.

Hi Misslinda! Donovan was on tv?? I hope they repeat it.

As you said, his songs really capture the feel of the sixties. Iwonder if he still has this guitar:

Hi all not staying. The first set of lyrics was from 24 Sycamore by Wayne Fontana.
On the subject of Donovan,he was booked to come to Oz a few years back to do a concert tour.Unfortunately his dad took ill and the tour was cancelled.
Back tomorrow.

Crosby the guitar he had was green, kinda hippie, haha. He was talking about the fact that both he and Dylan were heavily influenced by Woody Guthrie. Woody and Pete Seegar and Ewan McColl were a big influence on me too, in the early 60's.
