Does anyone know if Michael Jackson played an instrument or wrote melodies for his songs?

I read your comment on another thread spot and tend to agree, he was certainly no Stevie Wonder as far as musical ability but obviously a great performer etc.

Yeah.I know his fans are caught up in the emotion of his death but you have to keep things in perspective.Really,he only penned a handful of hit tunes-I do like Billy Jean-and his output was sporadic at best.
Correct on the Bowie song by the way.:-)
