Hi What going on why is the 10% GST charged on shipping this is not goods. There a few odd things on ebay this is one and the Global shipping outrageous shipping charges many oveerseas have got going on small items instead of the standard international shipping.

GST stands for Goods and SERVICES tax. Shipping is a service.

 

There are many complaints about the Global Shipping Program, rightly so, but most small sellers overseas don't even realise they have been opted into the service and can't offer other shipping options, and it does offer some protection for sellers selling international  so you can't blame those who want to use it.
