postage label wont accept an address given by ebay even though seller confirms it is correct . . so

The address will be correct - it's just that Aus Post can be a bit picky with how it's set out on th label.
Some things you can try.
The name of the Suburb should be in the bottom space (not the Capital of the state)
If the town is East Somewhere or North Somewhere - Change it to Somewhere East/Somewhere West.
Make sure the State has been put in the top space - ie NT /SA
If none of these solve your problem go on google and check the postcode for the suburb they are in - they sometimes transpose numbers
Lastly - check the spelling of the Suburb on Aus Post.
