"‘This code can't be applied to some of your items" - Here's why

Problem

When trying to use a voucher code, you get this error.

Likely Root Cause

The seller has established some sort of restriction on the code.  Usually it's only certain payment types, a certain number of uses, a minimum or maximum dollar amount, etc.

In a recent case, the maximum of 2 applications didn't show up as obvious and required digging multiple clicks deep to confirm that was the issue.  It wasn't clear whether it was for 2 items or 2 orders - presumably it was a per-item limit.

I recommend you log out of  here and log  into the US site as  others may have the same problem.
