Just wondering how to add internationsl postage options after the auction has begun.
I know it can be done in sales.
And I have forgotten to tick the appropriate box for internationl postage during the initial item set-up. Only to receive messages of interest from buyers in overseas countries.
This would help improve the sellers auction prospects if able to add international buyers who are show interest in bidding - of course this would be after some checking -
examples -
1/ from a acceptable country where they don't possibly have postage or fraudulant activity (Eg North Korea could be considered not acceptable).
2/ check buyers purchase history and feedback
3/ check how long they have been a ebay member to maintain their 100%
4/ If they have recent purchases, you may even be able to see if they have purchased from overseas before from their feedback history (click on "view item" when scrolling through their purchased items)
5/ Always discuss and agree on a [pstage option and cost before allowing them to bid (ebay messages as proof)
6/ Use tracking when you deem necessary - usually a good idea for the seller and buyer because the parcel can be followed throughout it's journey. And better for claims is it goes "missing"
I cannot see how getting more bidders involved would go against any of ebay's policies. They normally want as many as possible involed.
So there should be a easy way to do this, but I have yet to find1
