Why has Ebay taken it on itself to offer discounts on items I'm selling?

Why has Ebay taken it on itself to offer discounts on items I'm selling? eg 112796675009  I DO NOT want my items discounted - and certainly not by Ebay on my behalf (without the courtesy of even asking me).

How can I get rid of the discount code from my listing, and how can I stop it happening again?

Don't worry, you will still be getting the amount you ask for, any discount comes out of Ebays pocket not yours.
