Why has Ebay taken it on itself to offer discounts on items I'm selling?

Why has Ebay taken it on itself to offer discounts on items I'm selling? eg 112796675009  I DO NOT want my items discounted - and certainly not by Ebay on my behalf (without the courtesy of even asking me).

How can I get rid of the discount code from my listing, and how can I stop it happening again?

As said, eBay pay for the discount and you get the full amount.

So you don't want to get rid of the discount, more chance of selling something.
