I posted 1 large letter registered and 3 parcels today and when I got home I went to upload the tracking numbers and realised I couldn't. The registered one was fine, but the parcels, they didn't put the post codes with the tracking numbers so I have no idea who owns which number. We have 2 PO's in town and normally I go to the smaller one as the line is usually much smaller, and it's closer to home, but today I went to the main one as I had to collect a parcel from there. The smaller one always puts the post codes with the tracking numbers and even circles them so I know who owns which one. What is the point in giving tracking numbers when you can't give them to the right people?
Against my better judgement, I sent each buyer a message saying I had numbers here, but couldn't upload them as I didn't know who owned what.
I went to the Aust Post tracking page, but all it would tell me was they were in transit, no mention of where it's going. AARRGGGHHH!!!
Moan, groan, grumble.
Rant over!

Use eBay labels or Click and Send. The tracking numbers are automatically uploaded then.
And the eBay system is generally cheaper, too.

I don't normally have any issues when I go to my regular post office. Normally I would've gone to the main one to get the parcel, then posted at my regular one, but my regular clears at 4pm and the main one clears at 5. I didn't finish until 4, so I wanted to make todays clearing. Plus the weather is diabolical (snow, sleet, driving rain), so didn't want to spend too much time getting in and out of the car.
Most of my items go large letter, so just go in the red box, so I'm not sure that using one of the online options would be much benefit. It was a rarity to post that many parcels in one go today! Plus I'd have to buy a printer as I don't have one (shock horror!!)

Are you in my neck of the woods? That's the weather we had today, too.
A cheap printer would probably only cost around $50, with EOFY sales and all. Only takes about 100 parcels (taking into account paper and ink) to recoup. And your buyers will be happy.

Not quite my neck of the woods, but where the call centre for half my taxi work is located. A joke in itself.

I paid less than that for a black only laser printer which churns out hundreds of labels from one toner cartridge, I used to go through ink cartridged as an alarming rate so now it works out a lot cheaper.

I'm a bit further north than you, but very similar climate. I don't think my summer is as hot as yours though, but I could be wrong.
I doubt I'd ever be able to send 100 parcels!! As mentioned, most of my stuff goes in small padded bags and majority only cost $1.40. Today was unusual to send 3 in one day. I don't think I even have 50 parcel sized items left (I'm having a clear out and reclaiming some drawer space). Most of the parcel sized items don't generate much interest, so again, I was surprised that I sold 3 in one day! I'll probably end up taking the rest of them to the markets and trying to offload them there. The figurines I'm selling are ones that I ended up with more than one off, so am cutting back to having one only.
