Ever since the Australia Seller Release 14.1 our views have to an average of around 8 views per month on all our inventory.
We got around the Ebay postage fees by deleting our large items, and finding cheaper envelopes to keep the postage cost down for buyers. We cannot offer free postage because it doesn't work for us. Combined postage is best for us and for buyers, because we sell low priced items in bulk. But we do offer everything else Express Post, 30 days refund, one day despatch etc.
We were also doing really well with international sales. But they suddenly dropped to zero, even with our items and internarional postage now being cheaper, which doesn't make sense ...
I am just wondering why the views have gone from hundreds of people, to an average of 8? Is it due to low DSRs suddenly having an impact, or something else? Are any other sellers experiencing this?
As a buyer, I have notciced a drastic decrease in merchadise that I'm intrerested in buying as well. Its usually the same 2-4 sellers that appear in the searches and takes quiet a bit of fiddling around, to come across sellers that seem to be hidden.
Will give it another 4 weeks before closing our featuired store and perhaps going to the 40 free listings a month, at least until things pick up again, as sales have dropped to the extent, where it's no longer worth the subscription, or the 20c listing fee.

We have 2x ebay stores and 1x non-store ID we use for auctions only (using the 40 free per month).
Over the past 4-months or so our sales have been way down in the doldrums. And like you, our views and watchers are way down too.
Over the past couple of weeks one store has back come up a little bit and is now about 80% of what we used to consider as normal sales volume. The other one is still languishing way down at perhaps 10% of what used to be normal. Sometimes this one will go days with no sale at all.
The auction ID is lucky to achieve 20% bid rate and of those 50% end up as non-payer disputes. Maybe about 10% success rate on there. This is why we cannot afford to pay $1.50 to list auctions.
We can't figure it our either! It just simply seems like traffic thru ebay is way-way down these days. And there seems to be an increasing number of new buyers (0-FB score) who rarely pay and never communicate. These end up in UPI cases.
We are currently testing/adjusting our own website and hope to go live with that in the next couple of weeks. Will be interesting to see how we go with that. Maybe its a global problem which means our website will not do well either. Anyway we understand it will take some time and advertising $$$ to get it visible.
When things were running well we were mailing out 25-30 packages per day. Now we are lucky if we get a day over 10.
We are hoping things will pick up when people get their tax cheques back and have some $$$ to spend. We won't be getting any tax $$$ back as we haven't earned enough to pay any!

Hello, your not Robinson Cruseo there, where still trading at 1/3 $'s to our normal.
Where 2/3's in sales, but selling cheaper items.
We can and will survive, because we own our stock and pay cash for our stock, but it's not good at the moment, i can see some people falling by the way side which is ashame.

I just checked my sales figures for last four months and they are trending steady at 25% below what I would regard as "normal" ( in $$$$ value ) on both stores. Sales have been fairly consistant averaged out, but are all over the place on a daily basis. I havnt done any major listing for awhile, so sales are holding up reasonably well when this is taken into account. I have been spending time developing my non ebay business instead. Google introduced a new system ( Panda 4, I think from memory ) which has seen ebay drop right down in search results. According to financial / share advisers this coupled with the recent hacking and increased global competition has seen the ebay business and share price come under a lot of preasure worldwide. Many anylists have a warning on the stock which is trading at its lowest level for 12 months on the U.S stock exchange.
