Buyer purchased an item from me 3 days ago, they paid straight away with paypal.
Same day I went to wrap their item hoping to post and realised their address is incomplete, there is no street number or street in their details.
They have 0 feedback and had just joined ebay the same day so I contacted them immediately to let them know.
I didn't get a reponse so I emailed again the next day, nothing again, so I retreived their phone number and send them a friendly text....still no reply.
Thinking they will be wondering where their item is I contacted ebay support chat who after an hour of getting nowhere they told me to ring them or cancel the sale. Rang the buyer twice and their phone has been turned off all this time also.
Ebay said they only have the same incomplete details and phone number as me.
What should I do now, just cancel? I don't want to get a strike against my name, thanks.

Yes I would post it .... it's really not your responsibility to chase them up. Address it exactly as they say, and make sure you have your return address on it.
There's nothing else you can do ๐

my first advice: don't cancel. And I wouldn't send any more messages either. Perhaps someone else will have some idea what to do.
Just to clarify, did you ring ebay or paypal? The address on the paypal payment is the important one.

I went through ebay chat online and the buyers details are the same on ebay and paypal.
They just have their name, town, state and postcode, which is written twice.

I tried whitepages yesterday and no luck.
This is what I've got.........(their name) then, Myall ridge coonamble 2829
Coonamble, New South Wales 2829
Australia
I checked Myall Ridge and apparently the popuation is 2700 so its not like the buyer is the only one living there.

Well that's different - in my opinion that will be sufficient address - the buyer is probably on a rural postie run
Coming from a small town like Coonamble myself, trust me it would have been probably enough to say "Hamish Lovell, c/- Coonamble PO.

Yes we have had these too in small rural towns.
But the couple we have seen have had the property name enclosed in quotes like this "Property Name".
So its clear what it means.
We have mailed them and have not had any problems.
