Hello,
Can someone please help me to change the postage cost for one item. I am getting so frustrated trying to do this. I've checked through the forum, but can't find how to do this.
I only have a few listings on eBay and all have $9.95 shipping cost for an Australia Post large box.
I want to list a small item with free postage.
What I am doing is: Going to Postage on the listing > Postage Policy > Edit Cost for This Listing. What is showing is $9.95 for Australia Post Large Box. I am ticking Free Postage against this, but it looks like it is doing something in the background, but nothing changes. I don't want to change the $9.95 postage for the other items, just want to change it for this one.
I also have some other items to list with different postage costs, and not sure how to proceed.
Please Help 🙂
Thanks

You are most certainly going to end up actually being out of pocket for some of the items you are selling, and most maybe make maybe a dollar or two
You'll naturally need to pay for postage out of your own pocket (as you have 'free' postage and have not added postage cost to the actual items either
Plus enough packaging materials so the items do not break in the post
And also eBay's 13% + fees on each sale

I have been using an online eBay calculator, and it calculates that an item I am selling at $19.95 would have an eBay fee of $2.37.
When you refer to the 13% + fees on each sale. Would you mind breaking that down for me.
As I have a store, the research I have done has the selling fees as lower than 13%.
Also I am not doing Print on Demand, I sublimate all the items myself.
Thanks

+++ Store Fees.

You have 26 items listed. Why on earth are you wasting your money on a store? The miniscule amount you save on ebay fees by having a store, isn't going to cover the cost of the store. I'd be closing it if I were you. When you have over 200 active listings and a good sell rate, then it might be worth your while having a store.
Plus, now you've shut down postage policies, put a postage cost on your items, or you are definitely going to be in the red. Why take all the effort to create the listings, only to lose money? Not to mention the time it's taken you to actually make the items. Don't rip yourself off. It's not worth it.

Thanks for all your feedback.
I’ll relook at my pricing and shop options.
It’s a bit of a learning curve, so bound to be a few initial issues to sort through.
Thanks

We all had to start somewhere, and we all made mistakes. Never be afraid to ask questions if you're not sure of something. Even if you think it's trivial. These forums are a great place to learn, because there are many very experienced buyers and sellers.
I would suggest though, each time you have a new question that doesn't relate to a previous topic, start a new thread, or it can get a bit confusing. There's no point asking advice on a problem with a buyer under a topic about postage, the message will be lost. I hope that makes sense!
