How do I get into Advanced Mode for listing items?

All I want to do is add one pop of colour (nothing crazy or distracting) and to be able to change the font size in my descriptions, but I have no idea how to do this!

I've tried typing it out in Word and in the notepad, but as soon as I paste it into ebay, all the formatting goes away.

I tried to go into the Advanced setting, but it just brought me back to the main screen view of the ebay app (even though I wasn't actually in the app at the time).

I also tried one of the supposedly ebay compatible template designers but when I pasted the HTML code into the description box, it didn't work.

Any help?

I only use a PC for posting and editing listings, so not too sure how to navigate that on an app, but do you have "standard" and HTML" tabs at the top of the description box? (You probably know this already, but a HTML code won't work unless you post it in the HTML tab / editor, when you switch back, it should show the template as it will display - there's a lot of HTML that ebay won't allow anymore as well, so if it's an older template, it might contain some code that eBay doesn't like.
