I did the same and contacted them by phone and they raised it, they said I could ask in another months time. I can't recall by how much but it was mainly based on dollar value not quantity I believe.

If you don't operate a store you can try this link. Members in another thread have said ebay are picking members at random to give free listings to but it's worth a try.

I should add I contacted them by phone straight away after opening the second account. I think they also added that they wanted to see the feedback built up a little before raising it by too much.

I got the free 100 listings and have listed that amount....just won't let me list any more now.
i guess it will today being 1st July
live chat said it is about my feedback as a seller as well so I will just keep requesting that it be raised I guess

Check your seller dashboard each month after ebay have assessed your account. They might tell you there when they've raised your limit.

I did the same. As my first account had a store, TRS and Powerseller status, I told them I would open a new store on my new ID only if I was allowed to list more than the 100 item limit. I told them I wanted to start with 1000 items, otherwise I wouldn't bother. They were more than happy to accommodate given the extra store fee they would be getting ๐
They raised the limit and then I opened the new store on this ID.
Now I have to actually list the 1000 items :^O
Basically you tell them that you can already raise the limits on your first account and that you have proven yourself in that one so, if they want you to keep listing, they will have to raise your limits on the second ID too.

Thanks weddingand fashion, I'll give that a go.
and I have just tried to list more given it is the 1st of the month but it is saying that I have reached my limit this month.
does that mean I can only ever have 100 at a time?
Guess I will have to ring them. My other account has never had more than about 120 selling at any one time. But my new account is a new adventure so hoping to list lots more.
The other thing is that I can't find the seller dashboard any more. Is it not under 'account'?

Actually my seller dashboard is there under account on this ID but is missing on the new one. Why would that be?

Probably because you haven't received enough feedback yet. You need 10 for DSRs to show and presumably that is when the dashboard will show.
If you are restricted to 100 sales a month, then you can't have more than 100 listings active. After all, you might sell them all.
My other restricted ID sold 5 items last month, so I couldn't have more than 95 active listings.
