When I processed C&S parcel today one of the postage options was Express Post Platinum Parcel. I have today listed another item and thought I might as well offer this service as another option, considering that somebody might BIN it and want it for Xmas, but when I selected express parcel (the only express option) it came up the same price as the C&S with signature. That is not right; within Victoria the signature C&S is $11.80 and the platinum express was $17something, and for interstate it should be about $50+ - so how can you offer it?

You need to leave the product code blank and select own packaging enter own package dimensions (I just put satchel dimensions)
The express post platinum choice then appears - it can only be paid when lodged or on-line with courier pickup.

Just remembered too - that can not process through the checkout - pay online and pay at post office all together.
You need to do them in separate checkout batches.

If you're asking about adding it to the listing, you'll either have to select flat rate so that you can enter the correct amount, or if there's a higher discrepancy, add the difference as a handling charge when using calculated.

I put in my own packaging size once and the printed the postage slip, then went to my AP and they scanned the barcode and nothing came up on the system. This was one that I had to pay over the counter at AP and I explained that to them but they kept saying the barcode doesnt scan up and they had no idea what to do.
So I stopped using my own pakage dimensions and was less hassle just charging an extra $3.20 for Registered Post

No, i was not asking how to process a parcel through C&S. I was asking how come that the option to offer Express Post Platinum Parcel is not available in the drop down menu when I am selecting the postage options for my listing.
The flat rate is for satchels, not for parcels; the rate for parcels varies from about $17 within Victoria, to $50something to Sydney, and $70 something to Brisbane. There is no way I can use the flat rate option and just put there a number.

I have been posting large boxes with tracking, signature and insurance ever since C&S was started, and yes there were, in one stage glitches, but most of the time it works well. I prefer it as C&S automatically prints out the correct address needed for my PP protection and the tracking number is automatically shown in my and the buyer's My eBay.
I just thought that as it is now too late for many people to get parcel in time for Xmas, if I offer the express option I might get a sale. Better forget it and instead of wasting time, should be getting more things ready to list 🙂
