Can I add inactive listings to inventory and if I do that will they stay there indefintiely?
I have Christmas related stock that I have been running a sale on, but would now like to just let them run to the end of the cycle and then hold them back till September before relisting. They will drop out of unsold after 60 days, but I am hoping that adding them to inventory will let me leave them there longer. I don't want to use TL as I have two selling IDs and already use it for the other one, where the stock changes regularly, but the account in question has the same items all the time and I'd prefer not to complicate things.

Interested in this Penny.
We too are wanting to save our Xmas listings for next year.
I tried saving them to SMP inventory before we took them down after Xmas but could not find where they had been saved in the SMP Inventory. So had just assumed they were lost and will have to re-create them later in the year.
But if someone knows how to do what you are asking about then perhaps they will be recoverable yet.

Why wouldn't you use TL then if you are already using it. You can have multiple user ID's in there and switch between them, it's very easy. You won't have the problem of losing previous listings then.

Agree with Harley, I have 3 ids all using TL. It also allows you to swap items between accounts without having to completely re do them.

I don't use the inventory option, so I can't advise in that regard, but if it helps, drafts and templates are saved until deleted. To create a draft of an exitsing or ended listing, all you have to do is click 'relist' or 'sell similar', then 'save for later'.
You used to be able to very easily save a listing as a template when editing, but I can't find how to do that now, so the only way I can see to do that is starting a new listing from scratch.
You may need to re-upload images come September, though.
