Life beyond EBAY !!!!

Hi all,

The holidays have given me a bit of new perspective on life. . . .that is, life beyond ebay.

I don't know about others, but I freely admit that over the last few years I've developed a bit of an ebay addiction . . . and I've increasingly realised that it is not very healthy at all. For one thing, I sit on my backside in front of the computer far too much.

I;m getting a little rescue dog tomorrow and have been running around preparing for his arrival.

That should broaden my horizons a least a litte. . .or a lot !!

Let's face it, whatever our 'beefs' with ebay, lots of us are stuck with it.

Just remember there is a great big wonderful world out there. . .let's get out and sniff the flowers a little more !!

Best wishes to all & have a great new year !!

My name is PJ and I am an ebay adict.

Actually although I still post on the boards between April and November I am not selling and I never buy much at any time so don't know if I am a true adict or not.

Every year when I head off back to Blighty I say I am going to keep selling while I am there but somehow never get round to it, I actually got as far as taking some photos last time but then couldn't find the lead for the camera lol.

Hi PJ.

Yes I do see your posts regularly on the Discussion boards.

I suppose it depends on how much time you spend trawling the forum and posting or replying.

However, I don't think you are really an addict if you don't engage much in the buying and selling side of things. I think those are the aspects of ebay that can easily leach away the rest of your life, if you are not careful.

Don't get the eBay app on your smart phone. All day I keep refreshing the discussion boards and my feedback page. eBay is like a blackhole, sucking all life out of me until it explodes.

One thing with the app on your phone is that I get a smile when I hear a sale - there is a Cha-Ching! Sound. Usually get a sale just as I buy something which is a coincidence 🙂

hmm

I wonder if there's something nifty in / on the other side worth selling on eBay. Delivery times from a void might wreak havoc on the DSRs, though...

I have the app, but I only use it for the ca-ching. I would never try reading the boards through it. Or do any real selling as my descriptions and pics are on my real computer. At home.
