Just got a message about listing improvements.

Improve listings..PNG

Then got the "bad" news:

Listing recommendatios..PNG

Which was 2 or 5% likelyhood of sale but it tells you nothing else and going to Seller Hub shows nothing.

Nice to have it confirmed that it's poitnless relisting anything.

Listing Improvements.

I also have had this message. Checked it out it states that nothing is missing from my listings.

Most of my listings , according to the message, will not sell.

Very hard to sell something when  I put in the ISBN in the required field and the item is put into the Audio Books catagery . It's a pack of postcards!! Item #263227874980.

Another item, same thing - ISBN provided, as per policies, . The book is now in with the text books, when it is a biography. Item #253157816044.

More glitches making it harder for us. Yet it is our fault when things go wrong!

I might get out my magic wand and do some wizardry with similar items I have listed which are in the wrong spot. Sigh....more work!

Listing Improvements.

I've proven many times that the way to sell more is to increase prices, not to lower them. I've seen prices lowered on other people's items and they end up sitting there forever.

If ebay wants the site to be just another boring shopping mall with the latest mass-produced items that are out of fashion tomorrow then they're definitely going the right way about it.  If sellers are forced to remove some listings then they're obviously going to take all their listings elsewhere.  I'd say Amazon will have a lot more sellers checking it out because of these latest ridiculous changes and ebay is basically handing them business on a plate.

If you ask me, nobody that's part of the decision making process at ebay has ever had any hands-on experience with selling.  They can't even write coherent instructions.  Just read the following section I've pasted from the policy page on pictures.  Reading it exactly as they've written it, they're saying it's mandatory to use a stock photo for an item that's used, damaged or defective, and that it's mandatory to use photos that don't accurately represent the item for sale.  Smiley Frustrated Smiley Frustrated  It's no wonder they've got everything else back to front as well.

Mandatories
