I recently sold an item on the 15th. Buyer paid on the 16th. Raised a paypal dispute on the 19th and left me negaive feedback on the 20th. I contacted buyer on the 19th and sent item on the 20th. I also refunded their money out of good will, yet they still left negative feedback. Even though sale stated that item would arrive 5-9 days after payment is received, so the 21st-25th. I think I have been more than generous. End of the day they are going to get the item for free within the alloted time and I am left out of pocket with negative feedback. Can I ask Ebay to remove feedback?

Sadly people take no notice of handling times and have their own expectations of when items should arrive.
I regularly lose stars simply because I live in WA, and postage takes longer despite the fact that I always rush my items out (on the other hand this is offset by catching a lot of extra sales from WA who are delighted that they get their items earlier).

happens all the time
i had a buyer from QLD smash my stars (and gave me a defect) because she didnt get her item within 3 days of paying for it (and i live in Adelaide)
i always post my items same day or next day (my policy is 1 business day) and it takes at least a week to go from ADL to QLD
i explained all this to her and she didnt care. Apparently its my fault that she didnt pay for express postage, and standard post doesnt work as fast

You got that right!! My handling time is currently 5 days, mostly to fatten out the delivery estimate that buyers take as gospel, but also because rarely I can't get to the PO due to my shifts. I had one buyer a few weeks ago buy something in the evening, paid within half an hour, then sent a message at 6am asking if I had posted yet!!! My PO has extended trading hours (6.45am - 5.55pm), but even I'm not that good! I said I would do my best to get it in the mail that day (it depended on whether I got stuck working overtime or not).
I asked her if she wanted to send some extra money so I could post express, as she seemed to be in a hurry to get it, but of course she declined. Maybe she was expecting me to fork out the extra for it? I also pointed out that my handling time is 5 days, because I work shift work and over time and can't always get to the PO the same or next day. it was clearly visible under the postage tab and mentioned in the description.
She had lowish feedback, so I think she was just excited about buying something, because I got glowing feedback and 5 stars for everything!
I've been having a LOT of issues getting things to Vic since November. Most of the time it takes around 3 weeks (from NSW), so all Victorian buyers I send a message letting them know it could be slow. Thankfully, I've not had any dinged stars because of it. Most appreciate that I've taken the time to send the message.

Well looks like I had a half win. Ebay have said that because Buyer stated in their negative feedback that I didnt send and I had tracking for it they have removed feedback. :). Buyer then contacted me and said why did you send it. I replied because thats what I said I would do and they are now appologising and offering to send back. 🙂

Great news! Hopefully the associated defect has been removed too. Hopefully the buyer does return it because technically they haven't paid for it. Teach them to jump the gun!
