Re: Post or not to Post ....!!!!!

If you were planning on posting the phone via Aust Post, then it shouldn't matter that it's being sent to a PO box. I think it's just couriers that require an address. If your package won't fit into their post office box, they will leave a card in there for the buyer to collect over the counter.

I have posted quite a few things to PO boxes and have had no issues.

Re: Post or not to Post ....!!!!!

What are your concerns with sending to a PO Box ?

I get items that I purchase online including eBay purchases sent to a PO Box frequently.

Personally I think it is safer to have items sent to a PO Box, there is no risk of a postie or courier "safe" dropping parcel in a place it is not safe.

As long as you send the item to the address shown on eBay order form and Paypal payment advice, with proof of having sent it to that addressee, you will have seller protection.

If the value is high, IMO purchase extra cover for insurance ($1.50 for every $100) and/or add signature on delivery requirement ($2.95).

Why won't you send it to a PO box? If that was the address specified on the Paypal payment advice, you should not be sending it anywhere else, otherwise you will lose your seller protection. Personally, I'd sooner post it to a PO box than a street address as the likelihood of its being stolen is considerably less.

no YOU DO NOT wait for a reply, you send to the address Paypal gave you by trackable means, by Road (make sure PO put that sticker on as lithium battery items must be sent that way),  handed over the counter at the PO with the PO receipt to cover yourself by Paypal.

if you wait and they dont happen to open their emails for a week they'll be leaving you a red dot. jneg. feedback

I believe that in Australia you're meant to ignore that message because it's not possible here to have one's address verified. I understand that it does apply to the US however.

Have you received the paypal payment notification email for the sale.

If you have and the email says what it normally says (copied below in bold) then you need to post your item to the buyer.

"This item is eligible for Seller Protection.

To remain eligible, ship the item to the address confirmed below. We recommend using a shipping method you can track.

Please note, items delivered in person or to a different address are not covered by Seller Protection".

What on earth will you do if the buyer provides you with a different address to post it to ?

Re: Post or not to Post ....!!!!!

Why would you not send it to a PO box it's more secure than a postie dumping it on a doorstep or letterbox. I have everything posted to a POBox. In fact I won't buy from sellers who won't post it to one.
