Post or not to Post ....!!!!!

I am a buyer and a seller and use my own private PO Box address for both.

In my opinion, posting to a Post Office box is more secure than having it delivered to a house/apt. Less chance of it going missing...no chance of rogue postal delivery person stealing it, no chance of it being left on top of a mailbox or visible to the street for any passerby to snatch, if  the recipient isn't home when delivery is attempted to a residential address.

I have never had a seller query my address because it is a PO Box.

Why would you not send it to a PO box it's more secure than a postie dumping it on a doorstep or letterbox

I think the PO box thing comes from a crossover to the US site where it is not as safe to send to a PO box as they are not run by the postal services and are not regulated and, they do do not carry seller protection so US sellers are allowed to exclude buyers who have a PO box as their primary delivery address.

Are you going to send it to a different address given to you by the buyer?  Or are you going to refund and they will change the address in paypal?

i don't yet understand your paranoia.

If you insist on posting to street addresses within Australia, rather than PO Boxes, I suspect your eBay experience will be short and sad.

You get that here blackeye.  They forget that some people need confirmation that the information is correct and they don't need to be told that they are being silly or paranoid. Just the usual 😄

ps:  I really hate your avatar photo LOL  Is that a baby reaching for the Bourbon bottle?

i would have thought it safer to send to PO box.
On a different matter of possible future interest to the OP, its my understanding anything with a li-ion battery is not supposed to be posted via air with auspost. If you are asked by or mention to staff you have a parcel with a li-ion battery they wont accept it.
