Hi everybody, I'm new to the boards and I have a problem.
I'm really sorry this is going to be so long winded but I'm guessing the more info I give, the more somebody can help me out.
I have 3 sellers (private, no shop) accounts and the 3rd (and last) was created about a week ago.
Yesterday I sold my first 2 items with the newest account. This morning I checked my email and found 2 seperate invoice emails from eBay with customer/payment details.
I then went to check if the funds were in my paypal account, but they were not. I waited a few more hours but found it strange because I usually find payment is quick.... but still nothing.
I went back to my eBay account and noticed that each buyer has a 'view paypal transaction' button (the first time I've seen these!) and when I click on each, it directs me to the paypal login page but also states that 'The Transaction ID in your link is invalid.'
I then discovered that even though I could list items with that 3rd new account, I had not linked it to my paypal account! So I did that ASAP.
Now I'm wondering because of my big stuff up, will I need to contact these 2 buyers and tell them of this problem and do they need to re-send the money? Or do you think I should wait another day or so in case payment comes through?
I really hope somebody can shed some light... the last thing I want is disgruntled customers because of my dumb mistake.
๐
Thanks!

Are you Paypal accounts personal or Premier? They MUST be premier to accept payments-double check you haven't made a typo in any email addy.

I don't want to be too simplistic, but I often get that message when I go to view paypal transaction, I don't take any notice, I sign on as normal and can view the payment okay.

You mentioned you'd received emails from eBay, but have you received payment notifcations from PayPal?
If not, check that the email address you used in the listings is correct, and doesn't contain any typos (eg missing the .au or .con istead of .com).
If you've input an incorrect address, the first thing to do is call PayPal and see if they can redirect the payments.

I have to agree with DG. Check your email address. I recently set up a new ebay ID also and sold on the new id and had the payment indicating that it had been processed but was not showing up in my paypal account. I called paypal, apparently I had not linked my additional 2nd email address to my primary account. The Paypal representative was able to fix it up all on the spot and was really helpful. So give them a call. Good luck with it.

Thanks aj111003.
Well this has been a very trying day for me, with lots and LOTS learned. lol.
When I went to check if my email was spelled correctly (and it was), I only checked the one in my personal info.
But this is what happened....
In each of my listings, I had given my eBay email address instead of my paypal email address!
Ok, everybody laugh and poke fun, I deserve it. ๐
But hey, isn't it great when somebody actually doesn't give up and actually solves their own dilemas?
So to cut a very long story short, I corrected the payment address in each listing, then contacted the 2 buyers regarding the silly mistake. They were very understanding, thank goodness.
Cheers to all!

You could also have just linked the eBay email addy to your Paypal account, in which case the payments should have gone straight through.
