I listed an item which clearly stated free local pick up. A buyer purchased the item and paid for it. After I sent the pick up information I realised the buyer is interstate and the item is too large to post. A few weeks have gone by and eBay has paid me the money but the item has not been collected.
Today I got a message from the buyer asking when the item will arrive. The buyer obviously has not read the listing properly or read my message with the pick up details. I have replied to the buyer and told him it was listed as local pick up.
What else am I supposed to do ? I obviously can`t spend the money.
Any suggestions ?

Cancel the sale, something wrong with buyers address, then relist the item.
But do it quick, you only have a few days left, otherwise you will still be liable for ebay fees.

As gutterpunkz05 said, get on and cancel asap or you'll run out of time and be stuck with the fees. You only have 3 days left, so get onto it. Stat. Also, as GP said, use the option that there is a problem with the buyer's address, or you could be hit with a defect on your account. I think you also lose the fees with using other options, but don't hold me to that.
Do it, TODAY. Don't worry about messaging the buyer, just go through with the cancellation. It's not your fault they didn't read the ad. Despite most buyers not reading the ad, it could still be worth mentioning in the description, in BOLDED CAPITALS: PICK UP ONLY FROM BELMONT NSW
