I sold 4 items to one buyer. After a number of messages to which there was no reply, I checked her feedback profile (which of course shows as 100% positive as there is no other way to leave feedback!) and was horrified at the very long list of feedback left for non payment of purchases. Why has eBay removed the negative feedback button? Why is this person still allowed to operate when she doesn't finalise any purchases? A pathetic time waster who I have now blocked but it would be better for all if eBay monitored these time wasters.

When people leave false positives, eBay consider it positive . Only the tick counts
Why give someone like this all green ticks?
No feedback at all is far better than rewarding them with a green tick, all that does is help this 'person'
It is also against eBay policy so if the 'buyer' reported them, the sellers leaving the false positives would be the only ones in trouble and their accounts possibly being suspended

Thank you for your reply. I did try the 'report' option but it did not let me report the buyer, only open a nonpayment dispute. This has obviously been done before with this buyer and obviously eBay have not suspended her account. There is absolutely no way I can see to leave any negative feedback - not even neutral feedback.

Sellers cannot leave neutral or negative feedback any more. They could in the past, but they haven't been able to for years.

There's no need to report a non-payer, once you cancel the order because the buyer didn't pay after the specified time, it gets recorded & not in the buyers favour - restrictions will be placed on them.
Also it's not neccessary to leave them truthful FB, other sellers or other ebayers for that matter can't actually see which buyer you're referring to.
There once was a time, but not anymore.

That is right, you can only leave positive feedback for buyers which has been the case for many years
You certainly do not leave a buyer like that positive feedback with a neg comment
As said, all that does is reward the buyer and put your own account for violating eBay policy four times
Nobody else reading the feedback has a clue who the buyer is you are referring to, so it's not even helpful as a warning to other sellers

So why did you leave positive feedback.
Now if those other numpty sellers had followed the correct UPI Process & if as a savvy seller you had your preferences set to block all those with 2 or more UPI's in a 12 month period you would never have encountered this buyer.
The ridiculous false positives did not help you so apart from making you feel good how does you doing the same thing help other sellers?

So you have just joined the club and given her more positive feedback, wow thanks for helping the rest of us. NOT

Thank you to everyone who has replied to my question. Particularly to those who assumed (wrongly) that I had left positive feedback.

So are you saying you didnt leave this positive feedback ''Pathetic time waster - numerous complaints by other sellers. Why is she still allowed to operate??????'', it certainly says you did on your account
