Hello. I sold a suite of Jackson furniture in 2008 as we were downsizing. I retained one piece (small cabinet ). Now i want to offer that to the same person.
How do I locate the sale in My eBay. And can I still attempt to contact him.
Thanks, roseville200.

Thanks very much. I tried all your selections but 2008 precedes all my current computer records. In 2008 I was using a very, very basic computer so all those records are gone.
I'll just list the item. Thanks again. appreciate your help.

check your feedback....then put up a special listing if they want it

being so long ago, your options are limited.
Try these:
- check your feedback as a seller. If they left you feedback you might be able to find their userID
- check your feedback left for others. If you left them feedback, you could find their userID
- if you are like me, you rarely delete your eBay selling related emails. You might even have a folder in your email that stores "Your item sold" emails. Do a word search of your emails, or just look at the dates and trawl through them until you get to 2008
- if you were paid by PayPal, you could look back through your transactions
Others may have other ideas, but these I have identified might get you started until others arrive.
Good luck.

none of the suggestions I made are computer specific.
Your feedbacks are visible to all members, although buyer IDs of buyers that leave feedback are not hidden to you, nor are buyer IDs on feedback you leave.
PayPal records are stored on PayPal servers, not your computer. Same with emails.
Cheers

You can submit a request to eBay asking for a list of all your sales from 2008. It will take them about a week or so for them to email you a spreadsheet with the sale details from that year. Do a Google search on how to do this. This should provide the eBay username of the person you sold the original furniture to.
Then you can do an advanced eBay search to try to find that particular member's username. If they are still on eBay the option to send them a message should come up.
Hope this helps

Not anymore you can't.
You can only find sellers via the advanced search.

Think about it. If the buyer hasn't found the missing piece in SIXTEEN years, they are unlikely to be still looking.
I would estimate the chances as half per elapsed year. So 2 to the -16. Roughly 1 in 20,000,
