tracking number revamp

Does any one else feel that the new change regarding the tracking numbers is extreme and never having an issue feel like you have been thrown under the bus with the worst of the rule benders on ebay?

There are legitimate reason for not getting your tracking number up loaded within the 2-3 day setting i have and now it's like an axe coming down assuming the worst . And now ebay has declared a new way to launder our hard earned by excessively with holding it. My question is what are they doing with it ?? floating it on short term markets ???

Re: tracking number revamp

If you're marking the item as shipped, surely you can take the extra 2 seconds to enter the tracking number?

What "legitimate" reason could you have for not uploading within 3 days?

If you are offering a tracked service, then you need to upload tracking, otherwise Ebay will want to hear from the buyer that the item has been received, or a certain amount of time has passed without a dispute. Simplest way to get your money is to upload tracking.

Ebay won't hold your funds if you're offering an untracked service.

Re: tracking number revamp

As has been said. Is there any particular reason why you don't upload tracking? Are you a conspiracy theorist? eBay do not and cannot make money on the moneys they hold pending sellers complying with the terms they agreed to.

Do something into the wind. What is the result?

OK - you mark an item posted - what are legit ' reasons ' - for not adding tracking - then & there.?????

Re: tracking number revamp

Instead of marking as posted, enter the tracking number, that automatically marks it as sent.

That is what I do. Only one thing to do after items are posted.

Re: tracking number revamp

It's much better for you too if you add the tracking number.

If AusPost safe-drops a parcel and the recipient/buyer does not know, the parcel could be stolen or get wet in the crazy weather...

It really takes 20 seconds...

No they are not floating your money on the short term markets, but it would take you less than 10 seconds to find that out.

It is actually illegal for any money placed on hold, to be used for any purpose, but that would waste another ten seconds of your time, which could be better spent uploading tracking numbers.
