discount on an item

Last Friday there was a site wide discount of 10% 

I purchased an item that day.  The payment did not go through but I did not find out until Monday (yesterday).  The price has now changed with the discount removed.

I don't understand why this has happened.   Can this be amended?

Not eBay here, only volunteer members.

No, once the discount vouchers are expired or used they cannot be applied.

Check in PayPal to see the reason payment didn't go through.

But I am guessing their wasn't enough funds in the account and it has bounced.

Or it is also possible being Friday (eBay maintenance day) there was a glitch but that would normally show immediately if a payment is unsuccessful.
