Bid Retractubg

I accidently bid $1050.00 instead of $10.50

It wont let me retract the bid cause its lower.

I have sent the seller an email to notify him of my mistake.

Is there anything else that I can do.

@caradon-2007,

That doesn't really make sense. One of the most frequently used reasons for retracting a bid is if "You accidentally bid the wrong amount. For example, you meant to bid $20, not $200. In this case, enter the price you intended to bid as soon as you've retracted the incorrect bid".

  • Is the current bid (by the bidder below you) already higher than $10.50? If so, you can't bid that amount. You will have to bid an amount that is at least the next increment up from the current bid.
  • Are there fewer than 12 hours remaining before the auction ends? And did you bid the $1050.00 more than an hour ago? If so, then you cannot retract the bid yourself for any reason, and you will have to rely on the seller seeing your request before the listing ends, AND agreeing to cancel your bid. (The seller does not have to agree.)

It sounds like your bid is retracted and you are trying to place the same bid of 10.50 but now the bidding price from others is higher than 10.50.

Is that correct ?

I put a maximum bid of 1050.00 instead of 10.50
When i tried to retract the bid it told me that it was unable to. Im assuming thats because of the high bid

If it's less than 12 hours to go then only the seller can remove the bid.

There has been a "glitch" of late where for some reason the bidder couldn't retract the bid,(I had one happen

about a month ago where that option wasn't allowed and it still had over 24 hours to go).

Maybe contact eBay or get them to contact you,(which seems to be the best option for some).

This gives you the Chat and phone options at the bottom:

I tend to use Live chat,(as I still have an accent),blush-1.gif
