Incorrect postage cost shown on some items

I belive it is an ebay glitch across the Australian ebay pages

The lowest standard Auspost service is $9.70 up to 250gr

Buyers pay on some of my items (individually or combined) up to 250gr for $8.73 (97cents less)

$8.73 is the ebay discounted label price which offered to sellers if they want to purchase the label from eBay.

The listings and the checkout screens should show buyers $9.70

I searched on ebay and saw some sellers having the same issue..tons of listings with incorrect $8.73 postage

I belive the listings with calculated postage having this issue.

Screenshot_20251105_155247_Chrome.jpgI was on the phone with eBay 45 mins. And they still don't understand that someone made a mistake when updating this postage  rates table. Auspost postage was $9.70 before and is still $9.70 at the counter. The rep.  was even trying to tell me ebay postage label is the cheapest of the postage options. 🤣🤣 I asked how much is the Auspost price shown here $8.73. How much is the ebay label $8.73. Hmmmm🤣🤣

Re: Incorrect postage cost shown on some items

Thanks, Yes, I was thinking to change the postage from calculated to flat 👍

But the calculated postage works for me better.

So I just added (temporarily) 97cents handling fee to my business policy to match up with Ausposts

standard parcel price.

After I added 97 cents handling fee to my postage policy to be able to match up with Auspost parcel price $9.70, I saw couple of sales with $12.41 (an unusual postage charge) realised that ebay adjusted the postage prices on their calculator again. Surprise, surprise

$9.70 the lowest Auspost parcel postage (for 250gr) is gone up to $11.44, the 500gr from $11.15 to $13.42.

The Ausposts current postage rates is still effective . It looks like eBay Australia is trying to compensating sellers affected by postage issues.

Re: Incorrect postage cost shown on some items

I started adding a $1 handling fee to lower priced items but now this morning postage is showing as $7.28. This would mean some of my high volume low items would be selling at a near loss. As much as I dont want to I may place my store into holiday mode until this is sorted in case it gets worse.

Yep, weird glitches

Some of my listings are showing $9.70 or $8.73 in the search results

but when clicking on them postage costs change

Re: Incorrect postage cost shown on some items

I thought I best call ebay that way the issue is logged in my account.

I think the best way forward for me as it appears to be across all calculated postage items is to add a larger handling fee and this way I can reimburse any extra on low priced items and factor it in on items that are higher priced if someone makes as offer.

I also asked and they said they have had a few phone calls so far regarding this issue.

Re: Incorrect postage cost shown on some items

If you could spare the time, or point me in the right direction.

How do you edit the postage of 2000+ listings in minutes.

As I note I am taking orders without the correct postage applied as I don't buy labels off eBay.
