From 19 January 2026, suppliers of infant sleep products must comply with new mandatory safety and information standards issued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The standards aim to reduce the risk of death and injury from products that babies do or may fall asleep in:
- Infant sleep products such as bassinets, inclined sleepers, household cots and portable folding cots.
- Inclined non-sleep products such as bouncers, hammocks and rockers
If you sell these types of products, you need to ensure that both your product and listing comply with the new standards.
