We’re always looking for ways to improve the experience on eBay.com.au to better connect sellers with buyers searching for their items. We noticed that sellers need an easier way to add shoe sizing information to their listings, consistent with athletic shoe sizing.

What’s changing

  • We wanted to remind you that from today 18 August, we’ll require US shoe size instead of AU shoe size.
  • This will be for all listings in the ‘Men’s athletic shoes’ and ‘Women’s athletic shoes’ categories.
  • We’ll also be removing AU shoe size as an Item Specific in the listing flow in the above categories.

What you need to do

You need to update your listings in the relevant categories by filling out the ‘US shoe size’ item specific before 18 August. You’ll see this identified as ‘required soon’ in the eBay listing flow.

After today, you won’t be able to revise and/or create new listings in these categories without the required information. If you already have the US shoe size aspect filled out with the relevant information, you do not need to do anything further.

Listing tip - When filling out Shoe size, simply input the sizing information directly, and avoid any additional words. (i.e. if your shoe is US size 6, simply input ‘6’ instead of ‘US shoe size 6’)

Why we’re making this change

Our buyers and sellers have told us that they prefer to shop using US shoe size for athletic shoes. We also know a lot of popular footwear brands use US sizing so we wanted to ensure our onsite experience is aligned with industry standards. We’re hoping this change makes it easier for you to list and for buyers to shop your inventory.
