We’ve added a new ‘Required’ Item Specific in the jewellery category

As you know, we recently implemented Item Specific requirements in the jewellery category. From 23 August 2022, ‘Metal Purity’ will also become a ‘Required’ Item Specific in this category.  

This is part of our ongoing journey to better connect you with buyers, based on what they’re searching for on eBay. 

To make sure you can continue publishing new listings and editing existing ones in this category, it’s important you update your Item Specifics before this date.

If any of your listings are missing Item Specifics, you’ll see a reminder under ‘Tasks’ in the Seller Hub.

How to update your listings

1. Click on the ‘Add Items Specifics that will be required soon’ task.
2. Select the listings you want to edit.
3. Click ‘Add Items Specifics’ to open your listing tool.
4. Update your listing information under the ‘Required’ section.
5. Look for the ‘Required soon’ tag under the ‘Recommended’ section to update listings before the Items Specifics become ‘Required’.
