Eric Debenham. up until the 1980's it was still the fastest bike at the Easter bathurst meeting, what a glorious bike. the sound on conrod was fabulous.

as an aside i remember talking to Neil Munro (speedway/long track sidecar champ) ata meeting in SA his Vincent powered outfit would drip methanol from the Amal GP's on the ground in the pits like a tap with a shot washer.. Neil would sit there smoking a rollie and scare everyone half to death. he said the Vincent engine was pretty reliable considering the big end had a half inch of play sideways, he said sorting it out wasn't worth the trouble and went out and won easily.

dunno if the story behind it true but geeze, what a collection

Signatures suck.

last time the purple phase 4 was seen jacked up in a used car lot (early eighties?)

the fellow who bought the car refused to have it appear in any motoring publication or to be interviewed, and was described as a private person.

take a look at his 'other' shed at the end of the video....

You never know. No need to rush into these things.

Have a scarce book--A-Z of Australian made Motorcycles 1893-1942.

By Robert Saward--+ plus a supplement---signed by the author.

Well over 100 makers-in that time period.--interesting book..............Richo.

Any chance this book is for sale? Would love to hear from you if it is. Cheers Steve
