An early start here to try and beat the heat 😮

Only 39 here today - WOW - a cool change :^O

It is days like this that the 3 hour time difference is great - I can celebrate with the t'othersiders and then be in bed before the witching' hour lol.

Have never really been a NYE person myself - prefer to celebrate each and every day instead.

Laney, we are probably staying home tonight too. OH wants to go out but I don't think that is wise. Our neighbours have invited us to a party but it will be outdoors and I don't want OH possibly standing around in the cold night air.

And, I don't want to go elsewhere because I am especially wary of the roads on NYE and would rather be home safe.

Very wise decision Prim, particularly given the cool weather you have been experiencing.

Frankly we are not 'one night celebration' people and like you, prefer to stay off the roads on nights like this - too many grog fuelled idiots around normally without taking on the extras that emerge on NYE.

That 14 year old boy who went missing yesterday morning on his quad bike is still missing 😞

The poor lad has been described as autistic - the bike has been found but no sign of him - can you believe parents permitting him to take his very first ride on such a bike without strict supervision - let alone in this weather?

For once, words fail me .........
