I didn't think so either from what I read up on them but they put a cast on this.  She's ok with a day or more with it on as she knows there is not much she can do about it.

I expect that in this heat she will be very keen to get it off anyway.

Hope it is soon for her.

Hope you can manage to stay cool tomorrow.

Heading off now Ivy - another full day ahead for me tomorrow.

Goodnight 🙂

One of mine had a greenstick fracture and he had to have a cast over the top part of his arm but it didn't go all the way around.  I think it could come off for showers but I'm a bit forgetful about it now.

I am only going off what I've managed to read up on them as I had no idea as not my field of knowledge.

A greenstick does cause a crack in the bone but not all the way through but the Buckle happens on the hard layer of the bone forcing the soft part of it to bulge out to the opposite side, no actual cracks.

I could be wrong there too.  It was very confusing some of the medical stuff I was trying to read it's bad enough the other stuff I have to read sometimes.

Thanks for the reminder j*oono - I think that was what I had too - all held on with a crepe bandage.

Anyway - going to make the most of a cooler night and get some sleep.

Night 🙂

Goodnight Laney :-x

That's been the hard part she's hated not being able to get it wet.  I did think about putting a plastic bag with ninety mile an hour tape around it for showering but I'd have had to do it each time was just as easy to have a bath and hang her arm over the side.

Youch, it sounds horrible anyway.  I hope your little one is ok.

Laney, goodnight.  I woke up way too early this morning with the humidity.  I'm going to get an early night too.

Ivy, can they do a half cast or give her one of the ones that can get wet?

Joono

She's ok just more a bit frustrated with the not getting it wet thing but with a bit of luck I should be able to get back into the GP today and have it cut off.

They can do a Fibreglass one with a wet liner as they're the one's that can get wet but they charge like a wounded bull for them.

I don't know if they do a half cast anymore.
