They do it because they are under the illusion that  most ebayers' only source of news is from CS. Hmmmmm........  then again, maybe they are right.

I don't read C & P's either.  If I wanted to read them, I would look them up myself.  I read the newspaper each day and that's enough for me anyway.

Judging from the words I've seen that haven't been copy pasted, I think illiteracy is the problem. If you can't write yourself, it's probably easier to copy someone else's.
