with Tuneup and Antivirus you need to always check that they are updated.. they will just about  all do it automatically but not always so it is good to check...

And what if I purchase a new comp later this yr: can I transfer the subscription to the new comp, as I have done previously with McAfee?

good advice, thanks but just lastly what do you mean by "update update update"?   I thought McAfee does this all the time, as its constantly telling me that everything is up to date and fine. My subs are always renewed every October

McAfee is just an Anti virus program so it can only find and remove viruses.. Tune up Utilities helps clean up your PC from other things that happen when you uninstall programs etc.. Always have an anti virus software .. 

Not all AV software will get rid of those Bearshare things, they are designed to be hard to get rid of and as cat says they won't be detected by AV software. I speak from experience because I have managed to get quite a few of these little nasties in the past couple of years

You do not need to buy until the trial runs out.

Once you buy it that is it.. you own that version and can keep using it. I used one version for three years. 

If you like the product and feel it has helped you and will help you keep your system running better then do consider it.

Yes, you can download it again onto any new computer. It is yours... they will email you a copy of the key to unlock it.. save that email.. or print it out.. use that key to unlock it again.. If you forget that key email them and they will email you an copy.
