BODMAS - (Brackets OF Division / Multiplication, Addition / Subtraction).

 

You work left to right with the DM, AS

 

So

 

6-1X0+2/2 = 

 

6 -    Left  +   right

6 - (1 X 0)+  (2/ 2) = 6 - 0 + 1

 

= 7.

 

*rolls eyes*  bad bad bad teacher.

To be fair, any online calculator will do it, so unless you're showing the workings out you used, chances are you googled (online calculator) and put the answer in.
