Very quiet in here today. OH had a splint put on his foot this morning (not a very nice b/day present). Have arranged a dinner for him tonight with some friends.

Thank you Miss yes was for my mate that died on the 21st Dec......they had to wait for some people to fly in to attend.......all went very well a very good send off.

Geez the OHs foot sounds painful is that now an ulcer on the foot?

Hi JVH had a sinking feeling that was what it was. Glad it went well no wonder you are jiggered it is emotionally draining!
OH had the ulcer cut out months ago it won't heal. Top of the toe is black the rest bright red and swollen. Also open and deep on the end refusing to close (wound). Different antibiotics again and a splint this time. At least the bone scan was clear just frustrating really - as the scary tests panned out which is the main thing.

Had a lovely dinner tonight with some lovely people.

Hi Miss and sorry to hear a bout the OHs foot......thats got to be so hard for him to walk about and to even try and find a foot covering...........we dont realise how much we use our feet till something goes wrong with them

Glad the dinner was great always lovely to catch up with like minded people nothing like sharing a meal and a few drinks and a few laughs:)

It's quiet here, having a break from kids in care for a month or so but have really enjoyed catching up with old friends over the holidays. I've started to study again but I think I left my motivation back in 2011 lol 🙂

I am having treatment and seem to be getting back on my feet a bit the last 12 months have take a bit of a toll on me

I will try to pop in more often as this thread has been very kind to me in the past
