Miss geez glad your brother was ok it certainly hasnt been a good time for you all stuff like that seems to just hit when you least dont expect it.

Hi am getting one breast off and chemo, and later on down the track the other one off as a preventive.  Had a rotten thing happen to me today feel really used for other people's benefits cant talk about here and to top it off the little so and so next door plays his music full boar so I rang the coppers. Been up since early hours.

When I went the appointment I seen a sign that said to allow 3 hours for tha appointment no one told me I though I would be in and out at 8.30 so I had an appointment at 9am which was supposed to be for next week and I said I'd be there at 9.30 than I had to ring and say I couldnt make it as I didnt get out till 11am.

Also I dont think my friend is going to look after my son and pets asa she hasnt text me back.

Nurse said she's going to order me a prothesis but I'm not going to wear it.

Also my internet is down as their is some kinda problem in qld my isp says on sons laptop.

Had my hair done today at a flash hairdressers that was shouted to me first time ever for me and now its all gonna fall out in a month or so.  Get my surgery date next fortnight as the surgeon wasnt there.  Typicdal qld health dont give a rats about anyone.

Found out the DVA will pay for private healthcare for me being an ex service member have got paperwork filled out and will send off tomorrow.

Havent been sleeping at all, and eating naughty food like chocolate cake and not walking much.

Getting my car fixed next week.

Kezza at last you know whats what with your procedures etc etc.....thank goodness DVA is coming to the party in regards to your health care.  Worrying that your friend is not going to be able to look after C and the animals......can the social worker at the hospital recommend anyone............thinking of you a thousand thoughts must be racing through your head.

Miss hope the day is pleasant for you.......have you fully gotten over your flu?

Hi JVH thanks so much - flu has nearly gone! Was a lingerer - OH still battling his. hope you have something fun planned for the weekend! I'm taking my mum to the country to visit my sister for her birthday tomorrow - will be a long day! Going on Sunday tho there will not be as many huge trucks on the road.

Kezza thought you were getting radiation and no chemo - dr must have changed his mind regards treatment - not everyone loses their hair - (I took my friend for chemo every week and she said it was 'a walk in the park" - considering how nervous she had been prior) -
Can't fathom your 'friend' now a question mark regards C and the animals? Perhaps she left her phone in the car or something and hasn't seen your message? Geez you shouldn't have to worry about anything but getting better - try not to stress (I know easy to say)!
Chocolate is a comfort food - so don't feel guilty - and perhaps shorter walks? Only because exercise is a stress buster. Whatever it takes to get you through and over this is OK! Is there a good support group your way?
I know there used to be a support thread on here? You can't go through this on your own - no-one can and shouldn't have to! I hope today is a better day Kezza!!!

Yes there used to be a cancer thread on here for years but because of difficulties etc the conveynor of the thread had to unfortunately discontinue the thread.

All is good just looking for someone to take my son to school in the morning as my friend starts work early and her husband.

Just wondering if you think C should go to hospital the day of my op you know like in the movies when the friends and family wait in the waiting room.  Never had an op this serious just wondering on the protocol??

Think I might be in hosp for 5 days.

Kezza lots of things for you to decide on and its a pretty lenghty procedure having a removal.  Im sure if C wants to be at the hospital near Mum that would be lovely would he have someone stay with him as its a pretty long wait and yes 5 days is the norm  bet u have a million things running through your head:(

Hi JVH hope you had a great weekend!
Thank you had a lovely day with my sister - seems like I spent much of the day driving but was worth it - I'm real tired now!

Kezza I would simply decide on 2 things
1/. Will you feel up to having C visit on the day as you will be recovering and if he is there you would have to majorly assure him you are Absoloutely fine (perhaps ask the doc?) if you will be up to it.
2/ I would ask C his thoughts and his concerns and his preference. It's so hard to second guess what goes on in their young heads!

I think you need to think of yourself first and foremost so you can get your strength back quick enough to nurture C. Just my opinion - I think whatever you need to do to get through this is the right thing!!
I will be so happy when this is behind you - think you are doing great!!

Have a great night - I'm going to have a quick snack and a glass of wine and go to bed and watch tv!

Hi everyone!

Thanks JVH and all the best with the tradies! We have insurance experts coming tomorrow but we stipulated only on the proviso we have representation ourselves. That is we have to accept their expert opinion and they disregard ours lol! Anyway they got told we are within our rights to have our own expert present.
I'll be taking the dog and coming home when the coast is clear! Worked out well OH not in Sydney till next week. I would be nervous and uncomfortable but he is not fazed in the slightest.
OH said when you have done everything right and have the truth on your side - why should you be made to feel nervous! I'm going anyway lol!

Kezza hope all is going ok!!! Saw your post about the wig - my friend loved hers - she was blonde one day and brunette the next. She even had a red one! When her hair grew back it grew back even more beautiful than it was before! (I've heard this a lot too!).
Stay strong - for you and for C. Look forward to when this nightmare is over and just good health to enjoy!!
