It is the woman herself who is alleged to have done the defrauding...nothing to do with her carer.
Also if she was so "gravely ill" one would have thought she would have opposed being extradited back to Victoria from Queensland.

The link states: K R L was extradited from NSW to Victoria this week to face 56 charges of obtaining property by deception.
Her solicitor will be playing up the gravely ill scenario in hopes of getting her off or a lesser sentence?
From the link, I think she realises games up and time to face the consequences.
