I'm off to the movies today to see Gatsby.  It's a longish movie so I hope they don't also show half an hour of ads and trailers too.  I don't like sitting there for that long but the movie looks ok.

I'm home from the shops. I got two curly chops for dinner @ $3.50 each lol, wow .. and snow peas @ $25.00 per kilo. I've got snow peas planted but they're not ready yet.

All Baz Luhrman's  movies tend to be long don't they? I remember Australia seemed to go on for ages. I wouldn't mind going to see Gatsby, maybe I'll talk OH into it, I hate going to movies on my own.

Driving to work this morning I saw a funny sight. A ute done up in Australian flag colours with the Union Jack and the Southern Cross on the tailgate.

I looked like a rally car, all dusty and grimy, and had one of those roll-bar thingys across it. A big longhorn steer transfer across the back window, and " Last Dollar" along the bottom of the driver's door.

Underneath the Aussie flag tailgate: "lock up your daughters"

and underneath that: "I'll show you I'm Australian if you show me your Brazilian"
