It's self punishment. You are meant to whip yourslef with a knotted leather strap 10 times for every word written.

What about threads that start normally and turn to politics?

You should bow out of the thread rapidly and QUIETLY. No last hurrahs! And take as many people as possible with you. Find shelter immediately in the dinner thread.

What about people who don't agree and continue bumping the threads?

Don't pander to them. Don't even read them.

Of course. So what? Let then peddle their rubbish to themselves. And of course because they will be all in a tizz trying to ensure you fold, the claims and lies will become even more outrageous and ridicuous.

And then go and start a thread. About anything. Whatever. I'd rather see a thread about the correct way to cut your toe nails sitting at the top of the page in place of anything bearing Bolts handiwork.

It doesn't really matter if political threads are bumped because we won't be opening them anyway.
