What attributes identify YOU as being Australian

Here is your chance to stand up and be counted

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

No takers?

Perhaps you don't know or haven't given it any thought

Pity about that

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

It's a hard question poddster because being australian means different things to different people.

I can't answer for any one thing. I just AM because it's part of my existance.

All I talk about is sport, booze and cars. 100% Strine.

That is why i emphasised the YOU in the title of the topic Martinus 🙂

I would like contributors' personal opinion and not their general view

Spotty, unfortunately that is how Aussies are seen by the vast majority of the world 😞

Because I love my country, I was born here, I can't stand pommies calling me a convict and in general feel very privaliged to live in a free country without war and huge amounts of poverty and people dying or starvation.

Keep it nice, I might cry if you write anything upsetting (like not)

You know you can be identified as being a dinky di Aussie
when youu know that certain words must, by law, be shouted out
during any rendition of the Angels' song Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again.

Yes but if I talk about the attributes that I think make me Australian, it wouldn't make sense to anyone else. because it's an innate thing.

For example, my Italian heritage is a really important attribute to me that contributes to my Australian-ness.

 i have a birth cerificate .
