Has it only been 11 days since this new style forum was ready for use? (Tues 9 July). It seems like much longer than that.

 

I was just wondering about this as some suggest moderation is in the 'honeymoon' phase at present, and I wondered what timeframe they expect that phase to be .. 1, 2 or 3 weeks?

the telemarketers are hot to trot today, 

Hi Countessa. Are the telemarketers bothering you on your home phone? 

 

I don't have a home phone at present. We get so many of the telemarketers at work though, they are so persistent. I don't know why they think they can sell someone something when they get people offside with their pushy-ness before they even start their spiel.

 

yes am 3 home phone 2 calls in half an hour i don't answer it as have caller id 

 

but it is truly annoying, they end up having to pay for the call as i let the answer machine get it

 

 we are registered with do not call rigister but it doesn't stop all of them though, wish it did.

 

 

i am on the do not call register and have a private number but i still get them.

 

the ones who ask for money really annoy me.

a while ago now, someone was calling here everytime the OH answered the phone they would hang up, not a good thing  ecspecially if you think your partner is cheating, turned out that what they do is call several numbers at the same time  and first one that answers they hang up on all the rest.

 

this was befroe i got id caller and do not call thingy.

 

 

yes the money thing is a pain and so is that computer virus one.

 

Thank goodness for Caller Id 🙂

I kind of feel sorry for the people calling, as they are only doing their job, but it does get tedious and annoying when you get call after call
