I lived in Wellington, NZ ,for 5 years, always thought I would get squashed by an earthquake there (as there were always warnings on TV about what action to take when the predicted big one hit). I read last night there are sink holes in one of the streets in the CBD.

am3 I can remember standing at a train station in Wellington with my oldest son in a pram and a earth quake hit.
Being from Auckland I had never felt a earth quake before.
A nice man said to me leave the Baby in the pram, my first though was to pick the baby up.
It was scary.
Emme Fog in Auckland this morning, I have forgotten what fog is π

They are scary, I have felt a few, in Wellington and other places. I can't imagine what it would have been like to be in the 2 big ones in that hit Christchurch in 2010/2011 though.
