I was also told the eggs would be better for us as less cholesterol when a rooster is around?

If anyone can enlighten me as to why?

Thanks grandmoon I'll have a looksie, I've checked on them about 20 times today 😐 they are in a 6 ft high dug in fence etc just, I'd like to be able to not lock them up when I go out

Our late Sussex chick started to crow when he was 4 and a half months old. We thought it's a hen because other Sussex rooster started to crow a bit earlier.

Your rooster might not start a little while. He looks still young in the picture.

Is he a big Sussex? Big breed takes longer to mature. Ours are huge. They are bigger than our little dog.
