I can't switch bags too often.  My life is stashed away in there in all the little comparments!

 

sometimes when we go out, I only need to take the basic essentials with me   

I accidentally ran a computer chair wheel over a friend's handbag and she nearly started crying,.. I was thinking she was a real sook, until she told me it had cost 5000.00 wtf haha. It was ugly patchwork leather lol

I only have one bag at a time for the same reason as Joono.. My life essentials are stashed in there. Often, too many of life's essentials so I can't easily find the absolutely essential thing I need right now, resulting in a handbag tantrum. I tip it upside down and use words unfit for here lol

It's hot here now, perfect day.

What do you all consider are your life's essentials in your handbags?

 

For me:

 

Wallet with coins, notes, photos, credit cards, license, loyalty cards etc

Mobile phone

Hairbrush

Handkerchief

Lipstick

Car/house keys

Office keys

Eclipse mints

Cigarettes

Lighter

Receipts/bits and pieces/shopping list collected during use (try to clear them out regularly but sometimes they build up lol) - hardly essentials 

I have cut back a lot on what I carry around with me really.  Mostly just purse, mobile and keys plus heaps of receipts cards, the old fashioned address book, a pen and more receipts.

 

Hmm... I just checked, also old guarantees for some reason, and miniature first aid kit and one of those fold up shopping bags and some more receipts.

 

And a squashed up lip balm and tissues.

 

One thing that I don't carry in my bag any more is half a fish cake that I didn't eat.

My bag weighs a ton because I have so many essentials, such as:

Ipad
Phone
Ciggies
3 lighters
3 pen (I always lose lighters and pens)
Tissues
Comb
About 20 important letters that I haven't dealt with yet
My new thermos with coffee
Bottle of water
Muesli bar
Diary
Coins coins coins
Keys
Flash drives
Spare tooth brush
200 unidentified scraps of paper, shopping lists and receipts

No wonder I can hardly lift it or find anything.

I can see what you mean by 'essentials' now lol

 

Not only must it weigh a ton - it must be HUGE!!!!!

It's not so huge... more 'distended', squished out of shape lol

I should buy a backpack 😄 I wonder if I'm too old for a backpack?
